MORE INFO:

Grow your people. Grow your business. Grow your bottom line. Talent moves where it’s appreciated. But appreciation does more than keep people happy. It reveals hidden talents and inspires people to grow.

Andrea Gappmayer, a former disc-jockey and long-time trainer, will present The Carrots Keynote Address, based on the Carrot Culture business books by Adrian Gostick and Chester Elton, and the award winning National Best Seller The Carrot Principle. Andrea will share the latest research directly correlating engagement, recognition and bottom line results, and how an effective recognition strategy can significantly impact your corporate culture and people performance.

In this session, you'll learn what you can do to create a "Carrot Culture" at your company - one that uses employee recognition to build stronger customer satisfaction, improved employee engagement and better business results. Andrea will share powerful methods managers can use to provide their employees with effective recognition:

  • Use thank-you notes for greatest impact
  • Determine appropriate recognition in relation to the behavior displayed
  • Deliver the proper ratio of praise vs. criticism to keep employees moving forward
  • Know what to thank for and how often to say thank you
  • ࿠Present recognition in the most appropriate, personal and powerful way for each recipient
Andrea Gappmayer The Carrot Team's dynamic, sparkly Andrea Gappmayer knows what it takes to get people to listen. And she's bringing the Carrot message to companies around the world to help them understand loud and clear the power of leading with recognition.

A former radio disc-jockey and long-time trainer, Andrea comes to O.C. Tanner with years of experience entertaining and interacting with people. Whether she was broadcasting live while bungee jumping, interviewing highly respectable musicians, or giving relationship advice on her Friday evening talk-show, Andrea brought quick wit and enthusiasm into every aspect of her 11-year radio career.

She was nominated for "Personality of the Year" by Radio and Records magazine in 2000 and in 2002 was voted as "Best Disc Jockey in Utah"-she has the plaque to prove it.

Andrea left radio to work in the pharmaceutical industry where she wowed physicians, nurses, and medical assistants with her dynamic presentation, "Medicare Part D: How it's Ruining Your Life."

An engaging presenter and affable speaker, Andrea blends her brand of humor and wit with rich content and solid data to create a powerful, memorable presentation.
